Currently running dual boot Mandrake 9.2 & XP. Mandrake installed with no problems using coverdiscs from Linux Format magazine. There was a PCMCIA stall on first boot after installation and I had to use the interactive startup to get past this before inhibiting this in the control centre. mandrake recognised the sound card but installed the wrong driver, however this was easily sorted. Everything worked fine after this apart from trying to go wireless.
Broadband worked fine with the RJ45 cabled but I have been unable to get my Netgear MA401 PC card to work under Mandrake. I believe this is because no PCMCIA drivers were loaded at install and although I 'googled' until my fingers were stumps I couldn't find a cure. I did find a useful article that mentioned a Netgear MA111 USB wireless set up. As luck had it, I had one of these that I was using with a desktop and using iwconfig this was up and running before too long.
All in all, this certainly works well with Mandrake 9.2 and once the 'customer' release of 10 comes out I shall upgrade.
