Runs well with slackware 9.1, haven't tried modem
because I have roadrunner, but all other hardware
works perfectly. I also ran debian testing for a
while without problems
At the time of writing this, i was having trouble
with the debian-installer-beta3 (Sarge), so ended
up doing a knoppix hard drive install, with out
any problems, then upgraded ...
The 600X is a very nice laptop, and I was pleased
