This drive works just fine with Linux. It is
always recognized as /dev/hdb and reads CDs and
DVDs fine and writes CDs fine with k3b.

Seems like all recent Palm OS cannot synchronize
with Linux via USB.
This is no exception.
In the end I used Vmware to sync.
