 worked fine with all disto listed above. i tried a custom kernel only with slackware 10.0 and worked fine. all other distros with the default barei kernel. run smooth. regards slackie1000

 Getting the alsa tools(drivers+utils+library) from www.alsa-project.org works everything ok. Kernel compiled with soundcore as builtin and the alsa stuff (pcm,seq,etc) as module. The sound card was compiled as builtin. slackie1000
