Hello As a somewhat newbie to linux i have tried mandrake 10.0 and 10.1 official downloads.. i finally got a copy of Suse 9.2 it was the 5 cd version not the dvd. following are specs for the machine using this belkin usb adapter. 500mhz celeron 196 mb of ram onboard sound and some shaddy video card . and a 4.2 gb hdd. it is basically a power spec.. (keep your laughter to a minimum) where i work at we have wireless cable modems for "testing " so everyone either has laptops or external machines off of our network" suse 9.2 detected the belkin unit automatically. the only issues i had was finding out where to put the ssid and where to put the encryption key (128 bit) i started searching thru software in yast and found a kdewireless manager. after several attempts to configure i finally got it. all of our wireless routers here have the same encryption key. ( i know thats bad) but its easier for all of us. after configuring the hardware (green icon by clock ) i placed the encryption key in there without the ssid. then when i used wireless manager it found by scanning the avail networks.. it automaticallty tries to connect to the one broadcasting the strongest. i hope this review helps.
