 The driver CDROM comes with a linux driver (source). The linuxant driver works better though and have more features. So that's what I'm using right now. However, prepare to shell out $14 for full 56k access.

 Using GTKam (GPhoto 2), I was able to browse the pictures stored in the card. I didn't have to configure anything, but to get it to work the camera must be set to the preview/play mode and turned on before starting the application. Then simply add the camera. The capture command does not work well. When I issue a capture command by right-clicking > Capture, the camera just starts firing shots at fixed intervals without any control whatsoever. Not all the shots are saved. Also works well with Digikam.
