 Nice card, I’ve never had a problem with it, I’ve been using it for about 6 years now. that's $450 NZD 6 years ago... edit Sat Feb 02 2013: At some point I sold the boxen I had this card in and the card went too, I had another card the same which I'm still using now. This second card cost quite a bit less, I think it was closer to $250 NZD 3.2.0-2-amd64 #1 SMP Mon Jun 11 17:24:18 UTC 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux

 chip labelled 8100c uses driver 8139too identified as RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10) which got pretty confusing! mainboard http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=865GVM2-LS&class=mb didn't detect it via auto dhcp either # rtl8139-diag [part of nictools-pci] tool works http://packages.debian.org/lenny/nictools-pci
