Nice, fast, MASSIVE 100% Linux compatible flash disk.
No problems whatsoever.
Only gripe is the filesystem's inability to accept Unix-style permissions, but that's a USB mass storage device standards issue, not a Linux issue.

RHEL4 will *not* work with external firewire hard drives at all.
This is not the fault of the hardware, which works great on other distros, Mac OS X, and *gag* Windows XP.

Summary: When the kernel works with the drive, it really rocks. When it doesn't, you get nothing. This is a kernel issue, not the hardware.
Details:
Raw FC3 works pretty good, but I have to cold boot, then reboot for the drive to show up on the desktop. Once it shows up, it works fabulously.
DO NOT apply updates. Something in the FC3 updates causes FC3 to no longer detect the drive.
