It works but the scroll wheel randomly jumps up and down and it quite regularly cuts out completely and them some fiddling ensues to try and get the thing to start working again. Avoid this mouse unless you're getting it free and using it temporarily.

External serial connection modem just plug it in and set up your connection. It took me way more time to deal with the ISP than to get the modem to work. The only thing you have to do is make sure it's turned on before you boot up the computer. Modems don't get better than this.

I would say avoid this modem if at all possible although they are often given out free by ISP's. If you have to use it (and it will) use the speedtouchconf script from sourceforge (http://speedtouchconf.sourceforge.net/). Although if you're using a 2.6 kernel there are a few problems. It got a 3 because it works fine when it's connected...if you can
