 Just plug-and-play. I even don't know which driver it uses, it just worked. The image is of quite good quality. It works with skype and cheese, does not work with xsane (probably problem with xsane or kernel). Microphone works (you have to select it in skype). User manual is crap and the software disk only includes stuff in windows format. So I even don't know about any additional functionality and whether it works or not.

 The reader is recognized automatically as 4 different scsi devices (for different slots). It worked out of the box with a SD and a CF card. However, another CF card did not work. I haven't tried wit windows so I cannot say whether it is a problem with the reader or the card itself (although it works in my camera).
