So, I've tried so many distros that i can't remember them all. I still have 2 spindles of CDs and DVDs with older copies of various ones on them. When I found Ubuntu, I thought of how nice it was to be able to get Debian with a bit extra.

I've tried a lot more distros since I found Ubuntu, but its been the main one and has resided on my hard drive as the king of my computer. In fact, I believe that this computer is running an upgrade from 6.10, which was upgraded to 7.04,which was upgraded to 7.10, and then 8.04.

No, wait!. I had problems with it when using EXT3. I don't know what it was, but reinstalling on ReiserFS fixed the problem and its been chugging along fine for well over a year like that.

I've become lazy with Ubuntu because mostly everything that I try "just works". I've even installed many of the Windows games that my son likes and they play well under WINE. Especially, Operation Flashpoint - Cold War Crisis. That one runs better on WINE than in Windows XP.
