Wow this is like a major life event for me. In high school I got called an Internet Jesus at one point and used to compete with my one friend over who could go the longest time on AIM (or in my case GAIM) without signing off. But when the blogging craze hit I never got on. Sure I did Facebook for a short while, but never a bona fide blog like my little sister does. In part all the blog sites looked childish, I mean they all scream high school kids and 'Oh my God! Did you hear what so and so did with what's his face? Btw: My compy runs so slow...' I think I have a virus or something!' no thanks. The only contact I want with those people is fixing their computers for a nice stack of bills.

So maybe I started this one as just a passing phase, maybe I'll write more, maybe I won't, maybe I will write at random intervals of several months. I can't even tell you. All I know is other geeks will read this and thats good enough for me. It's not that I am the stereotypical 1980's geek that lives in mom's basement (I live on the first floor of mom's house thank you very much!), I have a life. It's just nice to have somewhere where I can talk Geekese with other geeks. Now if only I could find a place where I could talk politics like a polital science major, since I am one. That always surprised my friends, here's Shane, this susposed computer genius who wants to major in political science. Guess I am just multitaleneted.
