I don't for a second agree that Linux is truly lost but I do certainly agree with my friend and colleague that the promise Linux fortune tellers made has not come to pass. I remember when Windows Vista was released. There was so much hope and promise. The cool thing then was the whole see through interface. You know the one you had to pay extra for and buy a new graphics card just to support. The cost in time, energy and money was substantial but I, like so many others, shelled out the fare and jumped on board the Vista train. And oh did that ever suck.

I remember talking with different friends in the business about rolling out vista then about rolling...

I remember the days when free online email was a novelty. The storage space was small and the features even smaller. But the I discovered that the benefits of gettin my email on any computer outweighted the costs of fewer features. And remember these were the days when Eudora ruled the consumer desktop email market.

But soon the features caught up and now in the last 5 years not only can I get my email on any computer or laptop out there I can also get it on my iPhone or blackberry....

About five months ago, I decided to for my CCNA. For those of you only interested in the technology side of things, the CCNA is a decently high level certification from Cisco: Cisco Certified Networking Associate.
